PSN Lagos celebrates UNILAG’s best students

It was a very memorable day in the lives of the 11 pharmacy students from the university of Lagos, who graduated with first class in the last Academic year.They were hosted by pharmaceutical society of Nigeria(PSN) Lagos chapter, during the 2016 annual luncheon and award ceremony of the society which took place on Sunday 8th of May 2016 at the Sheraton hotel and towers Ikeja Lagos.
The society gave the best graduating student with a gp of 4.78 #50,00 the rest got #40,000 and a plaque each. The chief launcher of the day and chairman of Nemel Pharmaceuticals Enugu, Prince Ugwu gave the students #1m to share, the chairman of alph pharmacy Pharm Ike Onyechi also dolled out #200,000, while the chairman of Industrial pharmacist association of Nigeria and the GM of Greenlife,Pharmacist Falabi gave them 400k, the chairman of Pharmaceutical importers and MD of Embassy pharmacy chief Nnamdi Obi also encouraged the students with a total donation of 475k. Other dignitaries also showered them with praise and and cash donations.
The immediate past president of the Pharmaceutical society of Nigeria(PSN)Pharmacist Olumide Akintayo (FPSN) also took the student down memory lane of hard work and admonished them to ensure the are good ambassadors of the profession and praised PSN Lagos for celebrating excellence.
The best graduating student, Ayoola Smith also expressed gratitude on behalf of his classmates and promised the gathering that they would continue to make the profession proud.

Dear colleagues.
PLEASE NOTE THE VENUE FOR THE ALPS CONFERENCE IS NOW AIRPORT HOTEL, OBAFEMI AWOLOWO WAY IKEJA LAGOS.
Please kindly circulate so as many ALPIANS as possible will be informed about the conference and will attend. inform all of the venue change.

Registration and collection of conference materials will commence on Tuesday 10th May at the AIRPORT hotel from 5pm , Wednesday 11th from 5pm and Thursday 12th from 9am. Only registered delegates are entitled to conference materials.

Day 1.  10th May 2016 SENSITIZATION WALK AND HEALTH SCREENING FROM LASUTH GATE TO IKEJA LGA. FIRST LADY LAGOS STATE EXPECTED TO LEAD THE WALK.

It is no longer news that,over 70%of hospitals in Nigeria do not have qualified pharmacist, but pharmacy services are rendered in such hospitals.
