The University of Nigeria(UNN), Part of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Burnt

We woke up to the sad news of fire outbreak at the faculty of pharmaceutical science, university if Nigeria Nsukka.

According to rumors, the fire started  early hours of Saturday, 21st January, 2017 and burnt to the ground the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and pharmaceutical chemistry Faculty of the Pharmaceutical Sciences. The fire was said to have started in the early hours of Saturday and burnt down the whole building.
Efforts at putting out the fire by well meaning students proved abortive.

However, the pharmacy watch  put a call across to one of the top lecturers at the faculty, who informed us that it was not the whole faculty and that faculty of pharmacology was not affected, that it was just part of the faculty of Pharmaceutical chemistry, very close to J-block( for those that know) in the old building. The new building was not affected in any way. For now, it cannot be ascertained if it was due to arson or not, according to our source, the issue of the fire being as a result of failure in the released resit results, is a most likely a hoax as the so called result has been released since November last year.
