UPDATE FROM THE REGISTRY
On behalf of the Management and entire staff of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), I like to wish all Pharmacists in Nigeria and diaspora a very prosperous and delightful New Year.
At the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria,we remain committed to creating a conducive practice environment for all Pharmacists to deliver world class Pharmaceutical service In 2017, while we continue to execute our traditional regulatory activities, plan to roll out several new initiatives in Line with point 4-Agenda.
I am glad to announce to you that the much-awaited online platform goes live today January 1st 2017. In the last few months we have worked tirelessly to ensure that we deliver a world-class platform to you, and I am glad our efforts have yielded some good success, this initial lunch phase will be limited to individual and premises licenses renewals particularly those whose registration details remain unchanged. Interested Pharmacists who would like to use this platform should collect the online access scratch cards free of charge from their State PCN offices after receiving clearance from their State PSN offices. Let me stress at this point that both manual and online run side by side. This is with a view to accommodate those who still have problem with e-processes.
Would like to appreciate you all for the acceptance you have given the MCPD initiative. Over 1500 modules has been accessed since we launched platform on September 01 2016. I am glad to announce to you that the new cycle of modules 13, 14 and 15 would be lunched in few days to come. As promised, this new cycle will be practice specific as Pharmacists will be at liberty to decide what they want to learn as well as completing such learning at their own pace. Please note that the new MCPD cycle will be available both classroom format and Online.
In 2017, the council expects a New Mind Set for New Corporate or Business Game that respects the ethics and Laws of pharmacy from all concerned. This is the expected pharmaceutical extension of the Change Begins with Me Mantra of the Federal government of Nigeria. Individual and Corporate bodies must imbibe this new concept to move the pharma-industry forward as this would ultimately bring the Nigeria pharmacy practice in tandem with global practices. On this note, the Council is using this medium to inform all concerned that the Register and go (R&G) syndrome has gone with 2016, Moving forward, any culprit caught henceforth, will face severe sanctions including but not limited to closing down of premises concerned imposition of individual and corporate fines among others. IGNORANCE IS NOT AN EXCUSE IN LAW! I would like to once again assure you that my doors remains open to all suggestions. Complaints and criticisms.
Simply send an e-mail to email@example.com and copy firstname.lastname@example.org. Please add your full contact details especially your phone number(s) to you: mails for easy personal touch with you, when necessary. Once again, on behalf of the pharmaceutical council of Nigeria, I welcome you to fruitful and blessed New Year, 2017.
Yours in service.
